UPDATE: Thanks to Fr. Cory Sticha's Google+ post, folks have noticed this post. Please realize, I'm not upset, I'm not mad, and I'm not complaining. I understand and accept Google's policies and knew I was playing fast and loose with the rules. If my post sounds snarky or upset or like a complaint, it was not my intention at all.
I got kicked off Google+ today due to my violation of their 'real name' policy. By the way, that only usually happens if someone reports you as not using your real name - so I'm wondering who took a dislike to me, but those numbers are almost too great to consider.
Anyway, they didn't like the fact that I was using "Father Bud" as my first name. They're right, it isn't my legal first name, but that's how I ask folks to address me. So, farewell Google+, it was nice to know you.
It is somewhat ironic that I use Google's Blogger service to announce that I'm no longer on Google+.
